Believe it or not, but you can use avocados to make a creamy chocolate pudding without any milk, eggs, or dairy! This Avocado Chocolate Pudding uses all plant-based ingredients that get blended together. Everyone loves this healthy dessert recipe that tastes decadent and rich.

Ingredients

  • 1 large ripe avocado or 2 medium ripe avocados, pitted
  • 3 Medjool dates, pitted and at room temperature
  • 2 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon cacao powder or cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened dairy-free milk, I used almond milk

Instructions

  1. Use a spoon to scoop out the avocado from the skin. Place the avocado in the bowl of a food processor or the pitcher of a high-speed blender.
  2. Add the dates, maple syrup, cacao powder, vanilla extract, sea salt, and dairy-free milk.
  3. Process on high for about 30 seconds, or until the ingredients have fully combined and turned creamy and smooth. Scrape down the sides of the food processor or the blender, if necessary, and process another 10 seconds.
  4. Serve at room temperature or chilled.

Notes

  1. This recipe can easily be doubled or tripled depending on how many servings you want.
  2. Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
  3. You can make this recipe in a food processor or in a blender.
  4. You can use cocoa powder or cacao powder in this recipe.
  5. If you aren’t on a dairy-free diet, you can use regular milk in this recipe.
